Most riders can take on a challenge, but few take on the epic ones. Pushing themselves to the limits of their cycling ability. The legend of the Peaks Challenge was born in 2010 when riders first tackled the peaks in Victoria's rugged High Country. Riders were pushed to their limits and beyond, but still rose to the challenge.
It's not a race – it's much more than that. It's the ultimate personal challenge.
Riders attack a 235km long course that includes over 4,000 metres of climbing, ascending Tawonga Gap, Mount Hotham and Falls Creek. The 13 hour time limit making the challenge one of the world's most difficult single day cycling events, on par in difficulty with a European Gran Fondo or a stage of the famous Tour de France.
The PEAKS4CF riders are tackling this demanding challenge to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis Victoria.
